ionysis is looking for a Project Manager (f/m/d)
ionysis develops next-generation membrane electrode assemblies for electrochemical converters. Even if this sounds like a foreign language to you, don’t stop reading just yet. Our excellent tech team takes care of pushing the performance and durability goals of our fuel cells, while you might be the perfect fit to ensure that their creative chaos is best managed to bring our technologies to the next level and deliver industry projects and orders on time.
As a recently founded and well-funded start-up based in beautiful Freiburg, we are looking for a project manager (f/m/d). You complement the current research-driven tech team with a strong focus on processes, making sure all deadlines are met. You are familiar with both conventional project planning methods and agile planning. You own Excel and ticket-based software tools, and you are confident in moderating planning and review meetings with project teams. Your friends would describe you as super organized person, with an eager eye, very empathetic and always coming up with a solution to a problem.
What we do
To stop climate change and reach Net Zero, ionysis seeks to decarbonize mobility and industry with innovative electrochemical devices. We focus on the core of any electrochemical converter: The membrane electrode assembly (MEA). We develop and manufacture MEAs based on most performant fluorine-free materials for hydrogen technology, including fuel cells and electrolysers. As a spin-off from Hahn-Schickard and the University of Freiburg, we combine scientific excellence with entrepreneurial spirit to bring our innovations to market and scale.
Your responsibilities
Create a culture of project planning and in-time results delivery
Establish an project management system that fulfills the needs of manufacturing
Manage in-time delivery of industry projects and orders
Track progress of internal development projects
Support the management in reporting
Moderate project meetings, such as planing meetings, project updates and review sessions
Train our employees and be our project management evangelist
Your qualifications
Enthusiasm for fighting climate change and contributing to Net Zero
Proufound knowledge about or deep interest in common project management methodolgies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
Proven track record on succesfully closed project or PMP/PMI certifications is a plus
Background in engineering, ideally with experience in manufacturing industry
Interest in APQP or other design control procedures
Attention to detail, excellent coordination, time management and organizational skills
Ability to show initiative, think ahead, motivate people and work independently
Business-level fluency in German and English
