ionysis develops next-generation membrane electrode assemblies for electrochemical converters. Even if this sounds like a foreign language to you, don’t stop reading just yet. Our excellent tech team takes care of that, while you might be the perfect fit to assist our management with market research.
As a young and well-funded start-up based in beautiful Freiburg and Berlin, we are looking for a student (Werkstudent) in market researcher (f/m/d), to do the groundwork for your business strategy. You work in close contact to the management. Your enthusiasm for green energy technologies like fuel cells and electrolyzers, an analytical mindset and creativity is more important than deep technical understanding of electrochemistry.
What we do
To stop climate change and reach Net Zero, ionysis seeks to decarbonize mobility and industry with innovative electrochemical devices. We focus on the core of any electrochemical converter: The membrane electrode assembly (MEA). We develop and manufacture MEAs based on most performant fluorine-free materials for hydrogen technology, including fuel cells and electrolysers. As a spin-off from Hahn-Schickard and the University of Freiburg, we combine scientific excellence with entrepreneurial spirit to bring our innovations to market and scale.
Your responsibilities
Inform the company strategy by market and competitor evaluations for different fuel cell and electrolyzer applications qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Read and summarize sector reports
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on potential suppliers and clients
If interested, visit trade shows
Your qualifications
Enthusiasm for fighting climate change and contributing to Net Zero
Strong team player and getting-things-done mentality
Experience in and/or market knowledge of the hydrogen sector is a plus
Ability to condense information, to structure thoughts and to analyze and visualize data
Talkative character that likes to chat, to interview and to connect within the community
Proficiency with common office software
Fluency in German and English
