As a recently founded and well-funded start-up based in beautiful Freiburg and Berlin, we are looking for a business intelligence analyst (f/m/d) who helps us to ensure that our future products fit the market needs. You work in close contact to the management. Your enthusiasm for green energy technologies like fuel cells and electrolyzers, an analytical mindset and creativity is more important than technical understanding of electrochemistry.
What we do
To stop climate change and reach Net Zero, ionysis seeks to decarbonize mobility and industry with innovative electrochemical devices. We focus on the core of any electrochemical converter: The membrane electrode assembly (MEA). We develop and manufacture MEAs based on most performant fluorine-free materials for hydrogen technology, including fuel cells and electrolysers. As a spin-off from Hahn-Schickard and the University of Freiburg, we combine scientific excellence with entrepreneurial spirit to bring our innovations to market and scale.
Your responsibilities
Ensure our product-market fit
Market evaluation for different fuel cell and electrolyzer applications
Analysis of value chain under economic aspects (IP, risks, opportunities, costs…)
Evaluation of internal production processes from a business perspective
Support in financial planning and analysis
Your qualifications
Enthusiasm for fighting climate change and contributing to Net Zero
Strong team player and getting-things-done mentality
Experience in business development, consulting, data- or market-analysis
Experience in and/or market knowledge of the hydrogen sector is a plus
Openness towards or experience in agile work and lean start-up
Ability to condense information, to structure thoughts and to analyze and visualize data
Talkative character that likes to chat, to interview and to connect within the community
Ability to show initiative and think ahead, with a willingness to proactively take on new tasks
Proficiency with common office software
Fluency in German and English
