ionysis is looking for a Quality Manager (f/m/d)
ionysis develops next-generation membrane electrode assemblies for electrochemical converters. Even if this sounds like a foreign language to you, don’t stop reading just yet. Our excellent tech team takes care of pushing the performance and durability goals of our fuel cells, while you might be the perfect fit to create an environment that supports the standardization of processes, identifies the cause of defects, minimizes process variability and that follows relevant industry norms.
As a recently founded and well-funded start-up based in beautiful Freiburg, we are looking for a Quality Manager (f/m/d). You complement the current research-driven tech-team by a strong focus on process and product quality. You are familiar with process improvement methods, norms and quality control tools. Your friends would describe you as super organized person, with an eager eye, very empathetic and always coming up with a solution to a problem.
What we do
To stop climate change and reach Net Zero, ionysis seeks to decarbonize mobility and industry with innovative electrochemical devices. We focus on the core of any electrochemical converter: the membrane electrode assembly (MEA). We develop and manufacture MEAs based on most performant fluorine-free materials. As a spin-off of Hahn-Schickard and the university of Freiburg, we combine scientific excellence with entrepreneurial spirit to bring our innovations to market and scale.
Your responsibilities
Create a culture for quality control and management
Manage quality control, improvement, and optimization of the MEA production process
Establish relevant industry norms
Preparation and implementation of standard operating procedures
Establish a quality management system
Training of employees and being our quality management evangelist
Your qualifications
Enthusiasm for fighting climate change and contributing to Net Zero
Knowledge about or deep interest in process optimization methods such as six sigma
Analytical mindset and knowledge of statistics
Background in engineering, ideally with experience in manufacturing industry
Being familiar with or willing to dive into norms
Attention to detail, excellent coordination, time management and organizational skills
Ability to show initiative and think ahead, to work independently
Business-level fluency in German and English
